The stairwell leading from the kitchen down to Bedroom 1 has to be one of the most attractive I have seen in the Old Village, worthy of a photograph in it’s own right! The treads are painted blue (no it isn’t blue carpet!) and as the stairs round the bend there are small exposed stone ledges or shelves.
The bedroom (4 x 2.5m) has a plaka floor, window and doors opening onto a small lane. The shower room is modern, with three quarter tiled walls, tiled floor and a small window. Again, the doors are beautiful old restored doors, rather than modern replacements.
From the living room more blue painted stairs lead down to Bedroom 2.
Bedroom 2 measures 5 x 2.25m and has a plaka floor, window and doors. The doors currently lead to steps up to the balcony, but after the sale this section will probably be retained for the use of the house next door, currently owned by the same owner. This bedroom also has a modern three quarter tiled shower room with tiled floor and a window. Again, it has the same restored old doors.
Doors from both the kitchen and living room lead onto a large terrace with panoramic views. Below right is the narrow covered section of the balcony outside the living room. This property benefits from mains water and electricity, but as it is in the process of being “separated” from an adjacent property there are still a few details to be resolved, such as the door from Bedroom 2 and also this property needs a new sterna. These items are negotiable with the owner at the time of purchase, and dependant on the agreed price.
The above issues have now been resolved. There is no longer a door leading from bedroom 2 to the balcony and a sterna has been built into the rear of this bedroom. An updated photo of bedroom 2 (left) shows the changes.
