This is a very traditional house in a poor state of repair but in a very enviable position.  It could not be much closer to the rare, sandy beach.  We are told that the unmade road discourages use of the beach, even in high season.  A blessing!
The house could be renovated, and indeed should be a museum to show how people lived, but a new owner would probably start again and take advantage of the potential.
Surprisingly, electricity cables have been run to the house.  Water has been piped from a spring in the valley above the house.
The above photograph shows the plot in proximity to the beach.  It is my understanding of the rules that nothing can be built between this plot and the sea.

The photograph to the left shows the owner's relation's house and what can be achieved.

This is the beach on a rare overcast spring day.  Imagine what it will be like in summer.  There was a lot of flotsam brought in by winter gales.  I will have to go back when the school children have had their day off to clean the beaches.

The land has been maintained and there are many olive trees.  Plus some chickens, if you like fresh eggs.

As mentioned above: water comes from a spring on the hillside.  This photograph shows the header tank fed from the spring.  A pipe goes from there to the house.

This is the present terrace.  Imagine what is possible.  Perhaps the house could be orientated towards the beach.

It does have mod. con's but rather chilly in winter.

It would be a pity to lose this heritage but we do like to be comfortable.

For your interest some more photographs of the interior.  Apart from the cobwebs and dirt: as though people had just left.  The tradition of building fireplaces like this has been preserved.
