ALONISSOS
GREEK ISLAND
PROPERTY
V1 400,000 Euros
2/3 bed property recently completed to a very high standard.
Amazing views across both sides of the island; sunrises and sunsets!
This 117 square metre property is set in 4,300 square metres of olive trees with some of the most dramatic views to be found anywhere on Alonissos. With sea views to both sides of the island it benefits from both sunrises and sunsets.
The property has recently been completed to a very high standard and was designed to be a permanent home.
The well insulated walls, quality widows and doors and central heating make it ideal for all year round living.
The house has mains electricity and two sternas (water tanks) beneath the rear terraces hold a total of 85 cubic metres. Also beneath the terraces is an apotheki (store room) which is where the diesel tank for the heating is located. There are solar panels for water heating.
The property is accessed from a road half way between the Old Village and Patitiri and this is the last property on the road (see right).
Whilst it feels very secluded, there are a number of properties along the road and both Patitiri and the Old Village are only 10 minutes drive away.
Wooden gates mark the end of the road and the entrance to the property, with views of sea to the east side of the island, which are also enjoyed from the rear of the house and land.
Above: a gravel driveway leads to this attractive porch.
The porch opens into the living/dining room which measures 6.3 x 4.5 m. It has a Sporades style ceiling, tiled floor, radiator, windows to the front and doors to the rear terrace. There are arches leading into the kitchen and to the bedrooms and a door to the guest shower room. The house is being sold furnished and equipped for immediate occupation.
There a couple of features in this room which are worth noting; the lovely blue wood burning stove and the beautiful inset floor tiles.
Large doors from the living room open onto a covered terrace (4 x 3.25 m) with two smaller sun terraces either side (3.5 x 2.5 m and 3 x 2 m). The terraces are plaka paved, with a lovely mosaic set into the centre of the covered terrace, which I meant to photograph, but forgot - sorry! Steps lead down from the larger terrace to the garden and the apotheki. These terraces have good sea views to the east side of the island, The Brothers, Peristera and Evvia. From here you can watch the sun rise.
The kitchen (7.65 x 4.5 m) has a Sporades style ceiling with skylight, windows to rear and side, tiled floor, part-tiled walls and a radiator. It has a good range of fitted units, with a granite effect triple sink, dishwasher and gas cooker.
You can see here the tilt mechanism of the windows. All the windows and doors in this property have both standard and tilt opening windows and the windows are also fitted with integral fly-screens.

Above left: the utility room (2.7 x 2 m) with fridge freezer, washing machine and floor standing cupboards (to the right, behind the door).
Above right: the view from the utility room! (Every room in this house has a fantastic view.)
Left: A porch,(2.7 x 2 m) with roll-down blinds, leads to the external access to the utility room.
A door from the living room leads into the guest shower room, which measures 2 x 2 m and is fully tiled with a separate shower cubicle, white toilet and hand basin. This room has the same sea view as the utility room!
This is the hallway between the living room and the bedrooms. Straight ahead is the door to the study/mezzanine The studio is accessed internally from the study, but also has it’s own external entrance door. To the left is the shower room and to the rear of this picture; the door to the main bedroom.
The house does not have air conditioning but the ceilings have electrical wiring to take ceiling fans
Bedroom 1 (4.5 x 3.4 m) has a tiled floor, radiator, window to the side and doors opening onto a front terrace. The room has a built-in bed with storage, a mirror door wardrobe and wooden cupboards. Sorry the bedcover is wrinkled, but the cat was not amused at being asked to leave!
The views from this bedroom are incredible! Above is the view from the side window. Left and above left; the views from the doors to the terrace. These are taken with the windows visible to prove I am not “cheating”! It’s just hard to imagine better views?
The bedroom doors open onto a semi-circular plaka terrace (above).
Below: more views...
The main shower room measures
2 x 2 m and is fully tiled, with a window to the side, heated towel rail, two storage cupboards and an enclosed shower cubicle.
The view from the window is as the picture above!
The study (3.4 x 2.9 m) has a window to the rear, with sea views, a radiator, tiled floor and a high Sporades style ceiling. Stairs lead up to the mezzanine sleeping or sitting area (3.4 x 2.25 m) which has a tiled floor and a skylight.
