2 bed house in Votsi with garden.
2 or 3 minute walk from beach.
Sea views.
This house was completed in 2003 with a good standard of insulation, double glazing and diesel fuelled central heating. It also has air conditioning and is suitable for all year round living.
It has mains electricity and water and a telephone line with Broadband connection. There is a 25 cubic metre sterna (water tank).
The house is 96 square metres and it is on a plot of 400 square metres.
It is being sold furnished and equipped - ready to move in!
To the side of the property there is a garden area; see left and below right.
Below left: the red line marks the boundary and there will be car access across the adjoining land.
This is an imaginatively designed property with many interesting features.
The front door opens into the living/dining/kitchen which measures
7 x 5.4 metres overall, with windows to the front and rear and double doors to the terrace. It has a fireplace, radiators and an air conditioning unit.
The kitchen has a double stainless steel sink, an electric cooker and a fridge freezer.
It is fitted with a good range of wall and base units and is tastefully tiled.
A window over the sink looks out over the driveway.
The staircase is a real feature of this house. It is not spiral as it only turns 180 degrees but it is built into a cylindrical space which creates curved walls both inside and out.
Above left: taken from the fireplace, in the living room, showing the staircase, the entrance door, the feature wooden ceilings and the double doors to the terrace.
Above right: from the kitchen, showing the staircase and the door to the ground floor bedroom.
The ground floor bedroom measures 4.5 x 2.8 m. It has a window to the front and double doors leading to the rear terrace.
As with all the rooms in the house, it has double glazed windows, tiled floor and a radiator.
This room would also be ideal for use as a study or office if desired.
Also on the ground floor, adjacent to the staircase and next to the bedroom is a bathroom which measures 2.5 x 1.375 m. This is tiled in a two-tone burgundy design, which looks much nicer in real life! There is a real bath(!) and the basin incorporates both floor and wall storage.
The ground floor terrace is plaka paved and mainly covered, giving shade but also some sun if required.
Above left: The doors to the ground floor bedroom and the curved wall to accommodate the staircase.
Above right: the doors to the living room.
Above: the view towards the sea.
Below: the view towards Patitiri, in the distance.
Below: the staircase, showing, as best I can, the curve, and also the detail of the ceiling. The stairs are concrete with wooden treads.
Upstairs there is one bedroom, with an en-suite shower room. The bedroom measures
4.5 x 4.5 m overall and has a Sporades style ceiling and tiled floor. A window looks out to the front of the house and double doors open onto a balcony with sea views, to the rear of the house. Left; you can see the curved wall which accommodates the staircase.
Right: the shower room is integral to the bedroom.
Below: the shower room is tiled in the same two-tone burgundy tiles as the bathroom. It measures 1.75 x 1.25 m and has a mirror, with lighting, over the basin which also incorporates storage.
Above: the view from the bedroom balcony, which measures 2.75 x 1.5 m.
Below: again, the view from the balcony, but further round, towards Patitiri.
At the top of the stairs, on the landing, there is another balcony, over the front of the house, which measures 2 x 1.75 m. This balcony has sea views, which would be much better if the olive tree was pruned!
Actually, the best views are from this balcony and the owner, who also built the property, has admitted that he didn’t get the design quite right! It would be quite easy to extend this balcony out and around across the front of the house and, together with pruning the olive tree, this would provide a much larger sitting area with an extremely good sea view. It would also provide another ground floor, covered, sitting area to the front of the house, or a car port adjacent to the front door. (Useful in both summer and winter!)
To the side of the house is an additional partly covered shady terrace, with a built in bench seat. To the right is a storage area for the diesel tank. This terrace leads out to the barbecue area. The whole of this area is plaka paved. The barbecue (seen, below, from the landing
balcony) has a marble sink, water supply, marble food preparation areas and is covered.
This is an imaginatively designed property with many interesting features.
It has a good sized garden and sea views.
It is recently built, to a good specification.
From here it is only a 2 or 3 minute walk to Rousoum beach and about the same to the supermarket.
This is a desirable house in an extremely convenient location.
Why not take a look....
